This modern luxury apartment redesign was always going to be a challenge – How do you compete with exquisite front row seats to the most beautiful harbour in the world? Simply, you don’t. You compliment them by creating a contemporary, cosmopolitan vibe.

For this Circular Quay apartment, Premier Kitchens were appointed to redo the kitchen, two bathrooms and additional joinery in the bedrooms and create a study space.

Dulux’s lexicon quarter white and a muted pail grey on the cabinetry allows the featured Gitani stone splashback, called Mahannon Marble with vibrant black and silver veins, to sing. Similarly, the countertop is a more understated white by Corian.

Elsewhere, Miele was our client’s choice of appliance, to ensure an equally contemporary vibe ran throughout. Their induction cooktop with retractable downdraft exhaust allows the splashback to be uninterrupted, with a wall oven/microwave nearby. An integrated Miele dishwasher fits snug into The Joinery’s cabinetry. Likewise the modest laundry cupboard uses a Miele washer and dryer set up. Our client opted for a ZipWater hydrotap, and Abey for both the kitchen and laundry sinks. A Husky Riserva Wine fridge helps with the entertaining. Handles are by Lo and Co.
